We hosted the 2022 event at the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center overlooking beautiful Lake Michigan. As always, the highlight was a live auction featuring hand-decorated chairs created by a dedicated group of survivor artists and their supporters. In addition, the event featured ThePinkTableTalk founder and WBCC board member Dana Johnson hosting Conversations of Survivorship. And we welcomed guest speaker and Green Bay Packer legend Gilbert Brown and honored Rare Chair artist Kelly Gramblicka as WBCC Volunteer of the Year!
About the Rare Chair Affair
The RCA features the most unique and moving voice auction of any event in the area. Each year, we invite breast cancer survivors and supporters to participate in workshops to paint and decorate chairs for this event’s live auction to support WBCC. The voice auction is the highlight of the evening and is truly a celebration of the joy and spirit of survivorship! It reminds us why WBCC and its dedicated volunteers do the work we do.
